Meet the Executive Team
Fannie, Co-President
Hey everyone! My name is Fannie. I’m a U3 honours physics student. I’ve been part of MIPT since fall 2023 and participated in both the 2024 and 2025 IPT tournaments. As someone who enjoyed these experiences and learned so much from them, I hope to bring this wonderful opportunity to more people and build a stronger team for the upcoming tournament. Fun fact: my favourite courses at McGill are MATH 475 (Partial Differential Equations) and PHYS 260 (Modern Physics and Relativity). In my spare time, I enjoy photography, travelling, and badminton.

Penelope, Co-President
Hi! I’m Penelope, a 3rd-year Physics student from Greece. I’ve been part of the MIPT team since 2023, and I am passionate ever since. It’s given me the chance to explore my curiosity and dive into research in different areas of physics. Through MIPT, I discovered my passion for fluid dynamics, which has become one of my favorite topics! I’m also drawn to Astrophysics (as any self-respecting physics student would say), and outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with friends and hanging out with my dog.
Emma, VP Internal
Hello, my name is Emma! I’m a major in Physics and minor in Computer Science. IPT has been such a great way to meet new people and dive deep into cool areas of Physics that you wouldn’t necessarily study in the classroom. I’m interested in Astrophysics and on my free time I love listening to music (I highly recommend taking the Art of Listening!).

Jules, VP External
Hi people! My name is Jules, and I’m a U2 student majoring in Physics and minoring in Mathematics. I’m really into sub-atomic and nuclear areas of Physics and hope I can one day do research in one of those areas! Being able to represent Canada in Poland is one of my best ever memories. Aside from academics, I enjoy playing sports (volleyball and soccer) and am really into chess!
May, Secretary
Hi! My name is May, and I’m a U2 student in the Honours Physics Program. I’m especially interested in the creative and experimental sides of Physics, and I enjoy exploring how Science connects us to the world around us. Outside of academics, I spend time painting, reading, and I love turning what I can into something I can build, test, or share!

Emil, VP Finance
Hello, I’m Emil! I am in U2, studying Math and Physics and my favourite class so far has been PHYS 257 Experimental Methods 1. I joined the IPT in the fall of 2024 and I got the chance to represent Canada in Poland. My favourite color is blue. I am looking forward to this year’s problems and hope to work on some cool physics!
